today was the most gorgeous day in a fortnight of rain and yucky weather...
it was so uplifting to go outside during low tide with my son
and see the sun's reflection dancing on the waves...
the ocean is finally cleaning the water turning from brown to blue...
all the dirt has almost sunk to the bottom
and I have been brave enough to swim with goggles through the dirty water that now looks much greener/bluer
I've scrounged up a few logs from the beach before the city council came out with bull dozers and cleaned off the beach like nothing happened..
and we can see the golden sand that was underneath it...
our tent is parked now beside the little logs
one has the shape of the upper thighs of a woman..
I'll show you a picture sometime if someone doesn't snitch it...
we've been planning on our family going to Pizzy Park for some practice swimming in the pool
but my wife prefers to have a nap
so I guess I'll just write you a note
while  the cannabized moment is still fresh in my mind...
a few mornings ago, I was dreaming that we were already back in the states
and I was depressed thinking we were barely here and how time is accelerating to the end result (old age and death ): but then waking I realized we have only spent a third of our vacation and still have time to do a lot of things
I'm especially excited that angela has started working on her bronze and will have the confidence to go out into the sea now, while Colin gets more confidence with the waves everyday!
physically punching each wave that comes his way
how dare these waves knock him down!

what a beautiful day, finally... it started off cloudy but no rain and there was hope after waking from a bad dream, where I worry things happen to the most beautiful people I love the most
and maybe that fear permeates my subconcious...
it was good to see Uncle Stu , where I took Colin and he could play in the little playground across from our surf club and between the club and Stu's lifeguard tower,,
he's trying to make things right after his sons took advantage of his landlord
borrowing our Holden Barina without our permission..
I feel always let down often by people I trust the most..
but still I can forgive when they atone for their misdeeds..
we talk about the sins of the father, but it appears most often that the sins of the children are what parents have to pay I need to train our son now, before colin is old enough to drive (but hopefully when he's out of school and has a responsible job)...
so the sun finally peaked through after noon, while we waited for Mommy to wake up and get over a hangover, which incapacitated our planned bike trek to the swimming pool at Pizzy Park
then she wasn't in the mood for Barramundi Monday at the surf club..
so we enjoyed the beautiful evening with sun finally showing herself after being in the closet since thursday...

Former President George W. Bush lied to FBI Director Robert Mueller in the Oval Office to protect White House programs that secretly eavesdropped on Americans, according to an upcoming book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Tim Weiner.

In "Enemies," the former New York Times reporter reveals the extent of the bureau's long war against terrorists, spies and anyone considered subversive, including American presidents. Among its explosive claims, Weiner reports that the FBI was penetrated by agents working for China, Russia, Cuba and al-Qaeda and that the bureau gathered evidence that was sufficient to impeach Presidents Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan

Both men had sworn upon taking office to faithfully execute the laws of the United States. Only one still held to his oath.

"The president pleaded ignorance of the law and the facts. He said he hadn't known there had been legal problems with Stellar Wind. He said he hadn't known [Attorney General John] Ashcroft had been in the hospital. He said he hadn't known Mueller and (acting Attorney General James) Comey had been blowing the whistle. He was almost surely deceiving the director, and deliberately ...

"Bush promised to put the programs on a legal footing. This did not happen overnight. It took years. But based on the president's promise, Mueller and his allies backed down from their threats to resign. Bush kept the secret for twenty more months."

mission accomplished. Guilty.
It would be really nice if they finally arrest this pig who f//ked our country... maybe the wickileaks will really come up about all the illegal activities we let this criminal get away with... Oliver stone did a movie but actually made a sympathetic character out of him as if he didnt know better... the truth will eventually prevail when Hollywood has the nerve to put out the real truth like they did with Nixon. I believe Nixon actually did far less than what they get away with now!

still hoping to play a good game of chess with Max since it's been raining here for almost a fortnight (that's 2 weeks in Aussie lingo)
all the debris such as lumber, sticks, etc, have been coming down the rivers and they end up on our beaches. I'll take some pictures...
I told you that a revolution was coming to the US as it has in Arab Spring. Well it finally reached here, but we do not really have freedom of the press as we used to think we did. The government is trying to restrict our freedoms as the 1% grow stronger. They have been going after journalist in our occupy movement, which rates our freedom of the press at about the rate of some 3rd world countries. sad

"But the U.S. tumbled almost as far as Bahrain did in the wake of the repeated crackdowns on journalists covering Occupy movements. Reporters Without Borders was explicit in its summary of its report, saying that "the United States (47th) also owed its fall of 27 places to the many arrests of journalist covering Occupy Wall Street protests."

The treatment of journalists by police was well documented throughout 2011. Reporters were beaten, arrested and prevented from covering police action against Occupy protesters. Tensions heightened so much that the New York Police Department had to meet with journalists and remind its officers not to mistreat them

Yesterday was Australia Day. It's a chance for all Aussies to start drinking beer and have barbecues all day.

it would be great to have a good game of chess and a smoke on my pipe on this rainy day!
I had the barbecue out on the front lawn in spite of the mean looks from the bullys upstairs. It sure was nice to have a respite from all the rain. It's back to rain again. There has been a lot of flooding here on the coast.
Timber is floating down the rivers and our beaches are now flooded with lumber and debris!

rainy days sure help you apreciate it more when its sunny!

"I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.
"...Robert Frost
I took this pathway, that nobody expected me to take, and I would not trade this pathway for any other.
I had an herbal epipheny chatting with a new good friend, Mike, from England. Taking the pathway or road that nobody else took has helped me see      what is wonderful in life!

This is the anchorwoman for Fox News

then, boob job helped her model for GQ

This lady who calls herself a journalist took offense to an article written by a journalist named Sullivan who used to like Bush. He stated that critics of Obama lack intelligence.
She and fox love to criticize our president because she gets paid to cut down Obama and show her pretty face , but actually looks likes she's had a messed up nose job since this photo was taken in her prime years.
now?  fake nose job for fake news
so fox just uses her to give her american audience a hand job?
does fake news believe she's pretty enough or fake enough
to help her male audience to be distracted enough to believe her?

I don't watch TV let alone Faux News (even though fox is the only cable news show here in Oz)
since our TV went into a coma, but I have seen how rude this lady and other fox anchors have become to their guests. I believe they are trained to be this way so they can bully their guests enough so the audience will have believe the host of the right wing biased shows.

"40-year old Megyn Kelly is a mommy again! The FOX News star gave birth to a baby girl on Thursday, the network announced on the air. The girl, Yardley Evans, was born at 10 AM on Thursday and weighed 7 pounds and 12 ounces. She is Kelly’s second child with husband Douglas Brunt.

According to plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia, Megyn Kelly, an up and coming Fox commentator who did a piece for GQ with some pretty sexy images (Dec 2010.), shows that she’s likely had some work done on her breasts and possibly a nose job. She most likely enhanced her look with breast implants and refined her nose with rhinoplasty."

"I had a very strong inclination that her nose was as fake as the "news" that she delivers. so I looked it up and found out that she was a very likely candidate. Most women show how obvious the plastic surgery is and usually doesn't compliment their looks. It's these type of women that are basically plastic inside and out.
watch this hilarious utube video of about how vain these gox anchors are!

finally won the handicap surf swim race... I guess, 4:15 was obviously the best handicap to win the race!  I passed the others with lower handicap and won with 37 seconds between me and the younger bloke who started with 2 minute handicap!
then later I was smashed in the finals of this Oceans 38 swim meet up at Broadbeach!
I was happy to finish and almost came in 2nd last...
the early waves treated as poorly as I had been with these 10 to 15ft waves staring at me with me totally out of breath...
but I made it as I push up for air after the undertow sucks me backwards...

a paradigm shift

I had one of the best days with my family today...
we all woke up early, eager to get outside and seize the day
we sat down briefly on the chairs under the downstairs patio
while sipping coffee and oatmeal..
I say good morning to the not so friendly neighbors
who perhaps still harbor a grudge
and don't like to see us playing
on the communal yard that unfortunately might distract them from the gorgeous view...
we then proceeded down to the beach where I taught my honey to relax in the deeper ocean
while I had her arms on my shoulders and swam elementary double arm backstroke
at that moment I was my honey's lifesaver!
to reassure that the rip in the calmer waters would not take her
then a local couple up Ocean street sat down next to us
and then angela was taught by sally some yoga

later I went cycling with my son in our baby carriage with pillows

My good friend, Martin, whom I see about once a visit, told me over a beer at our Dudley Street perch, that coming from the other hemisphere to Oz is  a paradigm shift.  We enter a new reality each time we come to this paradise. We come from the hassles of America and then come to a place where we can look at the beautiful blue empty ocean for 100's of miles until our sight meets the horizon. If we look back we see telephone poles and civilization for miles.
When we look at the big blue sea all our worries seem insignificant.. all the hate of the human race is dissipated when we look and especially feel the clear refreshing salt water on our bodies..
and we feel only good karma....

I've just opened up this little 2 inch book that I haven't opened since my last visit. Each time I open it up to a page. This time I opened it  up to the last page,
"Walk your path one step at a time with courage, faith, and determination. Keep your head up, and cast your dream to the stars. Soon your steps will become firm and your footing will be solid."

I always use the surf swim race as a metaphor for my struggles in life. I know when I've reached the sand bank after swimming underneath challenging waves. Then I have firm footing ready to dive under the largest wave and come out ready to sprint to the buoy.
I was feeling down yesterday after a poor showing in the race getting down on myself about how I calculated poorly. My handicap at least will go down another 15 seconds so I know I will have an even better chance next week! I am even more excited about the race.
I'm looking forward to my honey working on her bronze at the end of this month. She will be devoting every sunday morning to it while I watch Colin playing on the beach. If she makes it, she can be a lifesaver just like me and her confidence in herself will increase dramatically.
