I have been keeping this story hidden for fear that parts of this story will be plagiarized or that the idea will be taken..but i thingk that if i don't get started and just put it out there it won't happen.. I have to discipline myself to write at least a few pages per day or it will never ginished..i have this delusional idea that it will get done before we leave for Oz!
So how do I start this??

The aquatic creature saw his mate give birth to their baby in a tropical island’s sheltered lagoon…

he was able to hold the baby after his birth and bond with him…

The other members of his tribe were looking out for sharks at the entrance of the lagoon..

They had evolved to communicate with others through echo locution and could also bark out sounds to their brothers when their heads were above water…

The people gradually did more and more of their hunting with spears in the water..

Soon the descendants that could spear more fish had more babies even more attuned to water.. They eventually evolved to sleep in the water the way dolphins and whales “learned” to adapt to a marine life…just as penguins were birds that went from air to water

These were aquatic hominids that evolved over the last 10,000 years from an island near Mesopotamia…some of their ancestors were also ancestors of the Greeks.

These marine hominids had passed on much of the spirituality and mythology from this area to succeeding generations from the time when they were living on land…

These lands had many floods, so islands became totally submerged when polar caps had melted in the past…

…they told tales of Hercules as the son of God

And all of his 12 challenges that he met

Before ascending to the heavens….

Mankind and the industrial revolution lead to the endangerment of this hominid species

That once was almost as prolific as the bottle nosed dolphin…

They travelled with the migrating whales and dolphins….

And of course their biggest enemies were giant sharks and killer whales…

They managed to make spears from the various tools left by the many sunken sailors

They also were able to carry on pouches on their skin that evolved over numerous generations….up until the 1800’s these creatures travelled the seas with pure freedom and happiness…

Happiness is not needing luggage or at least having to carry very little… they didn’t need passports on their global migrations since there are no boundaries or countries in the sea…

Every thing   is tied to together in the sea…

What happens in one hectare of water ripples to all distant molecules of the ocean..

these hominids were so happy that they discovered what the freedom of living in the sea is like…their heart rates slowed down close to the beat of a turtles … some of the old chieftains lived for almost 200 years… stress makes the human race die relatively young..

up until recently there was no stress other than an occasional killer whale or giant shark!

Over our recorded history there have been frequent sightings of human like creatures that had giant fins… through genetic mutation, babies that were born with their legs fused swam faster and grabbed more fish for the succeeding generations…

More powerful and faster hominids were better able to become the leaders of their pods

And therefore attract more stronger and powerful female mates…

Over many generations these tribes became very strong and competitive with other marine mammals most often working in harmony with them for the bounty of different fish they ate…
