back to the frying pan of the Okie Zone!

alot of Mt. Views come up as an Ip from CALIFORNIA, with in depth searces and reads of my various essays throughout the archives... so I did a search and sounds like it could be like a way to punch "star 67"
to visit my site anonymously....any thoughts out there??? let's have some comments! from my anonymous readers??

"I agree, as far as I know, Google does not execute javascript so there should be no way for a Google bot\crawler to execute the Woopra script.

"resistance to me is futile"
I investigated further into my raw access logs and I was expecting to find exactly what you said, a paranoid user that is spoofing their ip and info, but my logs actually reported this bot accessing my site.

66.249.71.129 - - [28/Sep/2009:23:46:19 -0400] "GET /spark/?cid=1857 HTTP/1.1" 200 44413 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)"

Interestingly, in Woopra, the time above corresponds with a visit at 8:46pm PST, but is reported from a different IP in Woopra, 66.249.71.136. The access log for the 8:16pm visit reports the same as above.

I am assuming the raw access logs could be reporting a spoofed ip address as well though, but I really don't know. One last thing to note, Woopra miss-reports the visitor in the stats. In the screenshot, below the title of the page the user is visiting, it should report that page's url, but instead simply reports stateofaffairs.info which is a invalid response to that url query. It would come out in a browser, if I double clicked it , as stateofaffairs.info/null which 404s.
