I feel so frustrated that I can't talk to you immediately. I'm sure somehow all my new posts and essays will eventually be shown to you. It's wierd but I need to know that folks are reading this everyday and it doesn't even have the counter since I renewed my membership! Everything was cancelled!
Today was a great warm day without the really strong cold winds from the south. Instead of going to Movieworld thanks to a discounted pass from a wonderful friend, I had to stay on the beach and work on my tan. I had to absorb it some more with the spark of addaboy and some herb to think of things in a much more expaned conciousness. I feel how much clearer that my goal for the year has to be to stay here most of my life. It is our family home and this country has all of my roots. The people think the same as me especially about getting the best price for the dollar. No tipping and the service just loves appreciation. I have no fear of saying thank you as I would when getting service. You can say , "Ta Mate", without getting a mean look for only leaving a dollar ...they will smile and not expect a tip!! No fear of angry pagan bartendresses here!
"Do you have a membership at the lodge?"
And she won't listen to him and calls the police.
She says it as cold as any nordic ice maiden with balls of steel could!

But here in paradise, the service is great and it's all worked into the price of the drink!
way to go mate! no worries, mate!
and the bartendress smiles so inocently for only the sake of how fun it is in Oz to smile and no pecuniary rewards!

    Hey "pam"

If you want to pick a pen name, I suggest that "site map" reversed isn't that clever.

Though it does seem to fit in perfectly with your ass-backwards way of thinking. You sound just like the mock-ocker rhyes. I sincerly hope your thread is removed from Newsbusters.

Not because I wish to "ban" your tedious and pointless drivel links. But because, this site is a place to discuss the liberal bias in the media.

I sincerly hope your thread is removed from Newsbusters.(like you attempted to moderate one of his remarks. I unmoderated it)

That would make sense since Fox only wants to show news that is pro government and Bush. It only makes sense that they would censor it. They don't want us to know that the media now is controlled by the right wing and status quo. That's how they got away with "stealing" the elections. It was a very well done coup of the people and most still don't realize how the rug had been pulled out from them!

Not because I wish to "ban" your tedious and pointless drivel links. But because, this site is a place to discuss the liberal bias in the media

right now the only place where a story will stay until the truth is found is on blogs... you blokes never want to talk about how the media now is slanted far to the right.

Israel has called the world's bluff. They gave away land in exchange for peace (shades of 1938, giving the Sudentenland to Hitler...don't we ever learn?), and it didn't work.

Hezbollah installed rockets next to the U.N. so-called "peacekeepers," and they did nothing about it.

The "arabs" who fled Israel in 1948 did so at the invitation of the surrounding nations, who promised them that they could come back after they got through obliterating the Jews.

Israel understands, now. Radical Islam wants to wipe Israel off the map, and finish Hitler's dream to kill every last Jew in the world.

Hezbollah and their ilk are war criminals and cowards...using people as human shields, and setting up rocket launchers in residential neighborhoods.

They have also learned well from Josef Goebbels; their manipulation of the media for propaganda purposes is brilliant...but then, given the average intelligence level and naivete of the western press, it is really no surprise that they are winning the propaganda war.

I'll bet most western so-called "journalists" don't even know who Goebbels was...

    Greetings my friend,

May i present some facts to you unlearned mind.

For every 1 Israeli civilian that is killed by any arab anywhere in the world (be they muslim or not) 4 arab civilians are killed.

You state "Islam wants to wipe Israel off the map..." --> you should back your statements with facts, rather than anger driven statements. Islam in fact accepts the jewish religion as one of the three, and by their Book they are not allowed to kill one, unless they are threatened for their life. I believe it's the zionists that they disagree with. So to say that they want to kill every last jew in the world is incorrect.

As for your statement regarding their manipulation of the media i refer you to my topic named "Documents of Interest #1"... With these documents i pose questions that perhaps you could have a say in, should you find the intelligence to back your statements with facts.

May I present some logic to "you unlearned mind". Israel is a small country with a population of just over 6 milliion. There are many times that number of arabs in the world, a rough estimate puts Arabs outnumbering Israelis by 27:1 . So just on a basis of ratio comparison, your 4:1 claim is irrelevant. PLUS, who the hell said that every Arab that gets killed was killed by an Israeli. Are you referring to retaliation actions? Your claim seems bogus to me... friend.

Don't forget that in 2000, Hezzbollah used a UN marked vehicle to kidnap an Israeli. The UN marked vehicle was able to get past various Israeli check points because it was had all the markings of the UN. The UN sat back and filmed the whole thing and never gave a copy of the recording to Israel.

Once it was leaked that the UN knew of this kidnapping and that Hezzbollah had used one of the UN's vehicles to kidnapp an Israel, all that the UN did is issue a written a apology.

There was no world condemnation against the UN for aiding Hezzbollah in its terrorist tactics.

Let us not forget that Israel hypocritically condemns countries from acquiring nuclear energy/power and itself has an arsenal considered 4th largest in the world.

The funny thing is that the MSM are all owned by different people and assorted corporations. So you would think that they would all report stories based off of different angles. The fact is, they sound and read exactly the same. So much for diversified ownership making a difference!

Fox is everywhere and of course in Australia. It is by far the most slanted news in history in any democracy. If it could be as slanted as the pravda was and get away with it, it would! On that score you couldn't be more wrong. I read The Economist, which is far and away more biased than Fox; the great thing is that they make no bones about it and publish their editorials as leaders.

Also, rhayes, you have demonstrated your extreme ignorance of how the media outlets in other democracies operate. For instance, in France, no one buys Le Monde not knowing that it is more or less a Leftist mouthpiece; newspapers and other media outlets toe their respective party lines and make no bones about who they support in elections. The same is true in Japan.

We fear it because people believe it and get brainwashed the way the russians were . Double speak works amazingly well. Orwell was a visionary! I think you mean "doublethink", which is the acceptance and belief of two contradictory viewpoints. You really fear Fox because you fear critical thinking; you fear having to deal with the uncomfortable fact that not everyone will agree with you. (On that score I am impressed you visit this website; it must have truly scared the hell out of you at first.) Perhaps you care to address the nonstop Leftist bias in other MSM outlets to be fair?

Notice the difference between fox and other stations. Fox continually shows violence and stresses terrorism. It works because people become scared. You fear and hate rich people and large, successful corporations more than terrorism. What is the difference?

By the way, if you are so horrified by Fox showing violence, I suppose that you have written your local affiliates repeatedly demanding they change their "if it bleeds, it leads" mentality?

They have marvellously helped control elections and help the status quo of the government! I guess you believe the electorate has the same level of critical thinking skills that you do, which is to say none at all. How can they possibly control elections, pray tell? Could it be that Bush was re-elected because (gasp!) more people liked him than Kerry? Could it be that for 10 years running now, more people in Australia like John Howard over Kim Beazley and Mark Latham?

Could it be that if they were truly not liked by their respective electorates, they would be tossed out of office regardless of the media coverage?

Yes, Murdoch owns Fox and SkyNews. So what?

I don't like CNN, so I don't watch. I became very disillusioned with the Express-News, so I stopped reading it. I can't be the only one who has, because its circulation is falling. Which means less money for the Hearst Corporation.

So there are things you can do. If you hate Fox or SkyNews, who is pointing the gun at your head, forcing you to watch?

did not the pravda always say how great the leaders were. even so the proletariat started questioning and they had a major downfall like what most americans will do with the neocons! They have had enough of the lies. You blokes would love to control the blogs too the way they do in Communist China! What a painful bunch of babble to read. Actually, no, I would not want to control ANY blogs. You see, I have seen tyrannies up close and personal: East Germany, North Korea, China. You have NO idea what tyranny is.

But I do like that last sentence all the same. Perhaps you have forgotten about the PC movement and other such movements (like campaign finance "reform")on the Left to control free speech. A wise poster once said that the first rule of Liberalism is to accuse the Right of what the Left is doing.

And as for asserting U.S. military power worldwide: news flash! This has been happening since 1945!!! And it SHOULD be happening, for I do not belong to a military of conquest. Last I checked, here in South Korea, the Koreans run the show: electing their own government, conducting their own foreign and domestic policy, and so on. The U.S. military power you so despise keeps those who wish to deprive us of our freedom (Communists, Islamofascists) at bay. May it always be so.

After I posted, BT, I saw your post about the forum item from "les" and I agree with you. This is just an anti-semitic Troll, trying to hide his sick trash behind a phony desire to "debate".

see its ok for you guys to discredit and call anyone else antisemitic but you take umbrage at being called it yourself. The Bush family has a history of being anti semitic starting with his great grandfather and grandfather financing the nazis!

Very informative flicks. Watch and see that they'll whine about it the same way they did about Michael Moore!

Very propaganda-laden flicks, you mean. Very informative for those who fear and hate opposing viewpoints as you clearly do, and those who need their view of the world constantly reinforced.

Michael Moore isn't even a great propagandist. He may wish to learn a thing or two from Sergei Eisenstein.

Well, Webby, I'm not sure we can properly call it an "argument", since you refuse to make your own point.

With all your silly chest thumping about "winning", haven't you overlooked your original contention and my response? C'mon. Give it a shot. How how hard can it be to prove, in your own words, that little Fox News is dangerous?

ok well I am saying it now. FOX IS BIASED the media is biased! the media needs to be regulated in the fact that there needs to be a limit as to how many media outlets 1 company can own or be related to.

Its scary how powerful fox and Murdoch are. His lying station is forced on Australians besides owning Sky News also!

rhayes, I know you believe yourself to be the supreme expert on Australia here, but I have a simple question for you. It seemed to me that Australians have countless choices for media outlets. This being said, how can SkyNews be forced on the people of Australia? Could it be that Australians WANT to watch it of their own freewill?

You may have serious trouble understanding the word "freewill"...

You see, if Australians - or anyone else - didn't like it, they wouldn't watch, and no one would have ever heard of Rupert Murdoch. Unless, of course, you wish to sell me and other posters on some sort of John Howard-Rupert Murdoch conspiracy to brainwash all of Australia.

They don't want us to know the truth, only their double speak! Hilarious observation from one who hates and fears opposing viewpoints; one who cannot understand why people think differently from you.

Maybe you should move down there, vote Labour next year (for Kim Beazley), and don't worry about it.

rhayes, I don't mean to offend but why so much anger toward an opposing view point. I don't watch Fox News so I cannot comment on its bias or lack of but your reaction appears to be hate or fear and to me that is pretty radical. Even if you are right, they are one station and one opinion among dozens available in every major city. It is time the liberals of the world took their own advice and became tolerant of others, opened their minds to new ideas and learned to work for the betterment of all mankind. The social programs supported by the liberals for the past 60+ years have not worked and are only getting worse so new ideas are needed. So unless the liberals are so full of hatred and fear that they can no longer think for themselves they at least need to figure out how to fix the problems that they are responsible for or people will look for new ideas instead of the same old proven failures we get with each new generation of liberal politicians. It is only the fault of the liberals if people start looking at sources like fox and conservative outlets on the radio and internet for ideas when they offer nothing.

ac, I do hate and fear it. Even before I watched Fox, I was seeing how everday they lambasted clinton and I have yet to see them criticize Bush... even though rupert is aussie, I resent what he is doing and he reminds me so much of the railroad barons and monopolists of a century ago...I see how they continually flash war and they are very loud and fearful compared to the other stations. Each time I flipped the channel( the way I used to flip to Rush as the only hot air radio man until I got sick of his loud obnoxious bs, I had to turn down the volume of Fox. It is always sensationalism rather than fact.

It would be nice for another edward r murrow to appear and not be afraid to speak out what is happening to corporate media in the us. When I was in Oz I turned to BBC to get the full depth of the news.

I would listen to fox just to see how they are brainwashing the plebians who don't know any better and are afraid to research a topic and really know the truth.

and by the way I am open minded to both sides even though you disagree with me. A moderate in the neocon book is a flaming liberal. and by the way, before neocons changed the definition of the word, liberal meant open minded.

social programs helped with Roosevelt and even Eisenhower (who you would call a liberal today)

they have fallen apart as far as getting benefits for our tax buck, but republicans have only increased our deficit and our spending .... I would rather spend money for social services than for another Vietnam that will only make the military industrial complex and its good ole boys richer! besides all the anger compounded for being in a place we dont belong!

wouldnt it be nice if the schools got the money they needed instead of more regulations and they had to have bake sales to build bombs for the military!

gnite mates! and keep an open minded to liberals and moderates! You might realize that they have some good ideas!

When I was in Oz over the summer, there were 4 cable stations next to each other, Cnn, BBC, Fox (with basically american propaganda to get a very warped view of the states) and then sky news told news for all of australia. It was the only 24 hour australian news station.
